Really enjoyed this . This very dark fairytale. Was at times both familiar and unexpected.

While this was a bit long and would go off on some odd tangents, I still really liked this smart satirical novel.

Finally got around to trying that cake place Aurora LA (La Brea and 2nd in Los Angeles). This is the Coffee Bean: "A Brazilian café mocha cake with a robusta twist." Had to use all my will power to keep from eating the whole thing; it was so good.

Always enjoy his casual, slice-of-life, micro-story-esque , and this has a bunch of good ones so far.

Eh, ended up being a lot less interesting than I hoped. Ah well.

In my new interview with author Gwendolyn Kiste about her horror novel "The Haunting Of Velkwood," she says, "There's something so strange and haunted about suburbia." But that's not all she has to say...

Interesting so far, especially the one about Stonehenge that wasn't really about Stonehenge.

Rather disappointed in this one. Though there were some good stories towards the end, the "New Hope" and "Empire Strikes Back" versions were way better.

So far this is very clever, equally dense, and giving our world some serious literary side eye.

While this was more Western than I usually like in my Westerns, it was still really engaging.

Wondering if you should see ?
