Uhm, so, while I and three other people who make the core product + our line manager aren't affected by the Spill&Fill, rumour has it that by May 2025, what we do will be outsourced to the UK.
We know very well that this is not going to work, but the senior management do not.
Regardless, looks like I have 8 months to find a new job.

I don't know what to do.
To leave as soon as I can, or wait until it's all official, take a redundancy package, and THEN look for a job... But then I might end up competing against my peers that I dearly love.
@purrrism @pendrag well it never hurts to keep an eye out if something great comes along. As I’m sure at this moment they are all thinking the same thing. I’m glad you weren’t one of the “chosen” ones but the stress from now till then is going to be challenging to say the least. I wouldn’t focus on it and continue working but keep looking. If you have friends in competing worlds, put feelers out and let them know if something opens up to keep you in mind.

I am actually entertaining the idea of finally doing my own thing. That, however, would mean going back to teaching, at least initially.
I don't know, I'll do exactly what you suggested and see how things work out.
