Mirages

When I think of you now
everything evaporates
living in a desert mirage
we were our only real.

Being us we sang crazy
writing of lovers lost
sand in our pockets
like stars in our eyes.

We’ll miss what we meant
only whispers knew us
find your wings baby
soar like you own it.

Last night I dreamt of a horse. I think it belonged to me. It kept giving me kisses and affectionately biting my hand. Flattered because I told it, it had nice teeth.

...That horse I feed on my dog walk must have settled in my mind. When I say feed, I pull up grass and dandelion leaves but always drop them on the ground beneath it's nose, for fear of getting bitten. Irrational probably but my "What big teeth they have".

Do some random act of kindness for someone tomorrow. Open the door for a stranger, help an elderly person load groceries into their car, buy the person behind you a coffee… just do something that will make a complete stranger feel the warmth and love that comes from pure kindness. You wont regret it.
