If you appreciate freedom, do not support disinformation or misinformation, even if it aligns with your ideals. For instance, a vote: I would rather lose the win than support a lie. Disinformation is often crafted to cause maximum outrage, and that incites polarisation and Tribalism. Call it out and take the loss or risk losing democracy to a radicalised governance structure. Do not prostitute honesty and integrity for short-term wins: It will inevitably bite you in the posterior!
@AskTheDevil, I agree 100% about Trump. What inspired my post was a constitutional amendment to the Irish constitution. It needs change but is worded badly or cleverly, it may result in unintended consequences.

@PBesso While we're keeping all that in mind, let's please not let Trump become president again.
We will lose Democracy right away if we let that happen.
