If you're in the mood to make a memorable end of your evening, try dumping a bowl of fresh hot chili on your lap. The sensation is invigorating, to say the least.

@Oma_Trisha

Oh geez that was not fun!

Sorry it happened hope you aren't burned anywhere.

@disk4mat

Fortunately, I had on some medium weight clothing and it absorbed most of the heat. My tummy is a bit red, but it's not burned. The hard part was getting hold of someone on the other side of the house to come help me so I didn't dump meat and beans all over the floor when I stood up.

@Oma_Trisha

I am glad you weren't seriously hurt.

I hope you have more chili to give it a better try now.

@disk4mat

I do. My daughter heated up another bowl for me while I was changing my clothes and putting the dirty ones in the washer. She made me sit down before she gave it to me. I've already spilled some on my clean nightgown. Yeah. It's going to be one of those nights.

@Oma_Trisha @disk4mat ❀️ aww ,I wish my daughter was sweet like that!

@Tattoomonkey29 @disk4mat

It's not sweetness. She didn't want to have to come back in here and help me clean up more mess. 🀣🀣🀣🀣

@Oma_Trisha

I hear you. It happens to me also I seem to spill more food on myself these days. Not a lot just small pieces enough to have to use stain remover on my t shirts.

@disk4mat

My shorts were Navy blue, so that won't show. I don't care about the stain on my underwear. The nightgowns really don't matter because nobody sees them but me. Fortunately, it was my lap, and not my chest. That would have been another matter entirely.

@disk4mat

I should know better than to eat chili without a towel covering the entire front of my body. If I can spill something, I will. I should know this by now, but I keep pretending I'm still 16.

@Oma_Trisha

πŸ˜‚ We have all of that in common.

Too funny thanks for sharing that tonight.

@JulesofJoy

Personally, I thought it looked better in the bowl than decorating my body, but what do I know?

@Oma_Trisha beans do really hold onto heat don't they! I did similar with portagee bean soup once!

@Oma_Trisha OMG! That is awful! I hope you didn't get burned!

@ChampagneKitty

Thank you.

No, I didn't. The skin on my tummy was a little red from the heat, but it faded pretty quickly. It was just annoying because I couldn't get up and take care of it myself since it was all over my shorts. My daughter wasn't answering her phone, I couldn't video call her because she was talking to somebody else, and the first grandson I called to go after her wasn't answering his phone, either. I really didn't want to scream at midnight. It's just not a good idea.

@Oma_Trisha Well, I am relieved that you didn't get burned. I am a burn survivor. I know what it's like to have bad burns and it's terrible. So I'm glad that it didn't come to that. πŸ’—

@Oma_Trisha I feel that pain! I did it with a mug of coffee the other day.. and spilt most of it on the bedding I had just washed and dried which was sitting beside me! Frustration to the max!

@homebird

The thing that frustrated me most was that it was an excellent bowl of chili. I had it just the temperature I wanted, just the amount I wanted, just the seasoning I wanted -- and 95% of it ended up on my lap, my chair, or the floor. My daughter was very kind to warm up another bowl for me, but it wasn't quite hot enough. Still, I ate it because I appreciated her effort.

After all, no one is perfect. 😜😜
