@NaomiSkarzinski @Merlin I haven't had a friend in real life since 2017. Sometimes I really miss it, but covid has kind of tempered my longing for going to a movie or running to Awful House for breakfast.

There are an awful lot of people that have no friends IRL these days. After a certain age, it’s hard to find places to go where the opportunities arise. And like you said, covid has changed everything. That’s why so many people are on social media these days.

I've also discovered that as I age I'm less willing to put up with certain kinds of behavior just so I can be around other people. It's not worth the assault on my senses or psyche. I just want peace, contentment, and common ground.

I have a one off video I did for my YouTube channel several years ago. It's one minute long. Has absolutely nothing to do with any of the other topics of my channel. It shows how to clean/fix a DVD or CD that won't play or has static issues.
To this day, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, that is the video that is most watched.
Who knew! It also makes me smile.

@Oma_Trisha @Merlin I'm right up there with you. All my life I've been one to only have enough friends to count on one hand. Around 2017, life changed and I had to walk away from what friends I did have at the time. Then the pandemic, I stay home as much as I can. Most people I know do not wear masks.
I too miss going to the movies, but really getting use to being a semi-hermit.
