Re Kirsten Sinema announcing today that she's become an Independent, here is some quick analysis. If Sinema remained a Democrat she was open to a strong primary challenge, with a good chance she'd lose. As an Independent, she makes life difficult for the Dems. A strong Democrat running for the Senate along with Sinema's candidacy as an Independent likely splits the democratic vote. And literally gift wraps the Senate seat for the GOP.

I am grateful that Warnock has defeated Walker in the Georgia runoff. However, I am deeply disgusted to see how close it was. There were two candidates and by every measurable metric applicable to the job one was vastly superior to the other. Despite that, and against your own self-interest, almost half of you voted for the other guy. It's just truly despicable.
