So Ponpeo wants to run for POTUS in 2024, does he?
He should never be allowed to forget he was the architect of the " peace treaty" with the Taliban while freezing the legitimate Afghan government out of the process.

What can the rest of the countries around the world think of America now?

Not only did trump get in the White House, but he brought in the red hoard. Then the Big Lie & attempted coup d'etat on Jan 6th.

2 YEARS LATER NONE OF THE KEY PLAYERS ARE IN PRISON.

And we've elected even more fascist, sexist, racist, homophobic, anti-everything that are supposed to serve their constituents, but are bought & paid for by special interests.

@QueenOfEverything @Darkenyght1701
I can tell you, as an expat, that the democratic countries around the world are extremely anxious about the future and what's going on in America. The authoritarian governments are patiently optimistic that Fascism will return to American "leadership" and thus weaken its international power and democratic influence.

Well yes, emigrant from the native-born country to being an immigrant in another country. Depending on the specific move, adjustment can sometimes be quite difficult (as it was in my case), but better (or safer) overall.

@OldCountryDoctor @QueenOfEverything @Darkenyght1701 I just find it interesting that Americans and Brits call themselves “expats” when the are really immigrants to another country, it’s pretty elitist really. No one calls Mexican immigrants in the U.S. expats, maybe we should

@EelGM @OldCountryDoctor @Darkenyght1701

you're right, i never thought about it that way!

although every time greg abbott or ted cruz start ranting about the BORDER CRISIS with all those "illegals" coming into our country- it always flashes in my mind that we're the "illegals" trying to get in to other countries.

@OldCountryDoctor @QueenOfEverything @Darkenyght1701 the difference is those from America & the U.K. Immigrate to poorer countries where they can live better feel superior call themselves ex-pats and rail against right wingers from their home countries looking down on poor immigrants

@EelGM @QueenOfEverything @Darkenyght1701
Of course, for some that may be true. But some "ex-pats" (such as myself) moved to a country that was nearly equal to (in economy) to the country that they left and do not "look down on" their "new" coresidents. I left because of rising violent racism, Fascism, gun violence, and police brutality in my birth country which is not present in the country I live in now. I sadly had to leave many friends behind who cannot leave.

I'm moving from Texas, because after 14 years here, voting in every election- the gerrymandered deck is packed against us. I've met so many wonderful Canadians- I'm tempted to live there for a few years.
