Years ago, when Mastodon became a thing, I tried it out. It wasn't long before the instance was turned off and I moved to another, and then another. I got annoyed and walked away, sort of forgot about it until current events. This time I came to CoSo, but most of my friends scattered into the fediverse. I made an account on another instance to keep in touch with them and it just reminds me why I'd walked away in the first place. CoSo is vastly different and I thank you all for it
@Madamofthenight I can't even get into mastodon, all the groups (that I could find) have long wait lines or never got back to me.
@Obzver yeah a lot of instances are getting overrun with new users and are having to stop accepting because they can't handle the load
@Madamofthenight understandable but the thought of spamming servers just to be social is annoying. And I haven't heard anything great about it
