Next laptop I buy needs to connect to my router at 5 or 6G. My cell phone does and gets a 180Mbps up and 90Mbps down (supposed to be 150 each way) my laptop doesn't and only gets 80Mbps up and around 50mbps down connecting a 2.4 G

@Beachl3ve tell me more. I thought the wifi chip in my laptop controls whatever signal is coming in and that this one (Acer Nitro 5) will only accept 2.4 GHz.
