I'm a lifelong reader (back of cereal boxes, anybody?), and have never had any designs on being a writer. But I have had the opening of a story mostly written in my head for well over a year now. I also know how it ends, and I have a sense of what happens in between. Sigh. I suppose I ought to just start writing it down, even though I know it won't follow any 'rules', just to get it out of my head!
