very true, When I was an ISP's tech support manager back in the late 90s I had a few run ins with a few (Vancouver School Board) MCSE's that were just plain wrong when dealing with Windows 3.1 connectivity problems.

@NorthernInvader
Was anybody ever right when dealing with Win 3x? πŸ€” πŸ˜‚

Totally true though, I've known some highly educated idiots. I've also known plenty of people with little education who's brilliance shone like the sun.

@p3R1n01D I absolutely tore a strip off my old boss for signing that contract with the VSB. 3.1 was such a PoS for TCIP and I was tired of so many of our home clients using unlicensed copies of the OS some friend had installed for them but not given them copies of the disks so you couldn't tell them to delete the stack and reinstall it. 🀣 It was fun telling them to go buy a copy of 95 though

@NorthernInvader
LOL, being in IT back then would have been a nightmare!

Luckily I was still in manufacturing, so just a user, digging deeper into computers on my own time. I had my first computer class when I was 10 though, so always was a geek at heart.

I think I still have the 3.1 installation floppies. πŸ€“ πŸ˜‚ And OMG yeah, installations with no installation copies. πŸ˜– 🀣

Yeah, Win just got better from there! πŸ˜‚ 🀣
