I've come to the conclusion that most people seem to be willing to sacrifice their privacy/personal data if it makes them feel connected to the crowd. The millions that have left Twitter to go to Bluesky have gone from one collection agency selling heir data to another one, one that's albeit only slightly less so.

People I follow on the bird keep asking me to transfer over and when I tell them no I'm over here where privacy is the default, show them the comparison graphic, they still go.

I only stay thee to fight for Canada against the MapleMAGA and for jokes, cartoons. I've blocked thousands and muted more so my feed is pretty clean. And my posts are set to only those I follow can reply so the assholes and trolls can't.
