some truth in this but real communism has never been put into practice a a national level anywhere I'm aware of.
@NorthernInvader oh we also learned about fascism. i learned all about how hitler rose to power & what that caused.
all these systems assume that humans will act in good faith in order to work properly. but the whole of history tells us that humans act in their own self interest so none of these systems will work well.
some kind of collective - socialism that is practical and takes into consideration the human condition is maybe our best chance. but who knows?
@NorthernInvader Communism is yet another hierarchical, top-down system where a small number of people at the top control who gets what.
I am happy to try _socialism_, but if anyone tries to put in communism, I'll fight it just as hard as its wicked sisters, feudalism and capitalism.
What we want is social welfare, justice, and democracy.
Not Marx's "temporary dictatorship". That's what the other half of the country voted for.
