If you have an air fryer with a connected phone app it may be sending your data to China
Air fryers are the latest surveillance threat you didn’t consider
Consumer group Which? has warned shoppers to be selective when it comes to buying smart air fryers from Xiaomi, Cosori, and Aigostar.
@NorthernInvader I do not understand the people who want everything online... IOT devices are one of the biggest vulnerable spaces out there... and while some places are trying to shore up the holes with laws, many compnies just don't care to make things secure or patch vulnerabilities.
@sentientdessert Yup and it's become like that for many desktop programs these days - want to use Photoshop for example - need to do it online in the cloud, same with MS Office. Want to attach a graphic etc to an Outlook document - it wants to save that to One Drive, backups? Acronis wants to keep them in their cloud. - I won't use anything that makes me save it online.
@NorthernInvader Darn it I've lived for the day I could connect my kitchen appliances to the internet
