Michael de Adder is a excellent Canadian cartoonist. Yesterday he sent the one below in to the Halifax Chronicle Herald (recently purchased by the right wing Postmedia corp.) and was summarily fired for it.

@NorthernInvader

wow…. obviously they wanted him gone bc this cartoon is not a flamer in the political cartooning world. They fired a columnist too- getting rid of all the radicals so the friendly fascists can get back to business

@QueenOfEverything exactly - it was bought recently by Postmedia and that explains it. This too - other than the Toronto Star there really are no dependable progressive newspapers left in Canada. TV networks about the same -even the CBC is doing whataboutism and treating PP the way US stations treat Trump - that is giving him a pass for his BS - while attacking Trudeau for everything

@QueenOfEverything mostly we're not but the newspapers are mostly owned by Postmedia now and they are a right wing American investment group. They are trying to make Canada MapleMAGA

@NorthernInvader

Okay, that actually is better (still bad, but not the worst!). I don't see us (Canada/US) winning the was against the takeover by the billionaires & big conglomerates until we put strict campaign funding in place.

I'm ready for set campaign funds for qualified candidates supported by tax payer money.

Everyone has the same amount to use as they see fit.

We need a drastic action to stop the BUYING of elections before the first vote is even cast.
