You can walk around in a T-shirt’: how Norway brought heat pumps in from the cold
Device installed in two-thirds of households of country whose experience suggests switching to greener heating can be done

@NorthernInvader I'm looking into the heat pump systems more for the cooling in SoCAl, with the added benefit of getting rid of the NG furnace that occupies a closet full time for the 2 or 3 months that we may need it, here and there.

@Ironworker229 I have NG furnace, water heater, stove, and AC. If I had the money (I don't) I would relace all with electric and heat pump.

@NorthernInvader We just did a (surprisingly affordable) solar system and I'm looking at a mini split heat pump for heat and cooling and a "hybrid" hot water heater in the near future. Wincing at the costs, but optimistic with the current incentives here to offset ~30%.

@Ironworker229 That's great but unless it was 100% covered my pensions would sadly not make it possible
