This was brave of her to do and she was right to do it. We need to adopt her word change permanently. Our home is built on native land
@JanMoleski regardless of where one was born we are all uninvited interlopers on native land - land that recent archaeology implies they've been on for between 30K-50K years. Much of what we call Canada - especially in the west, is on unceded territory.
I read that story and honestly don't see why it would be controversial.
I'd go so far as to adopt the Canadian Indigenous Flag as our official flag. I think its beautiful.

Well it's happening whether they like it or not; that train has left the station. Besides, you can't have reconciliation without truth.

@NorthernInvader I agree. I hear resistance from people saying they were born here, so Canada is their native land. I can see their side too.
