@bluesbaby that is weird but let's not forget that they want an independent QC and QC is a majority Roman Catholic province and the RCs don't approve of abortion. So this is playing to their base.

Good point. I was thinking they just wanted to out CPCers. Taking a stand against the church is a very Bloc thing to do. You're probably right.
