March 2024 Nix Comics Update:
A little late, I know! You'd think I could have wrote it up more quickly given the that I didn't do much comics related, but here's a partial picture of my B-Day haul from Shake It Records and the Northside Record Fair.

Hey, I'm still going through all my old Nix Comics stuff, making room for new Nix Comics stuff. If you'd like copies of the first four issues of Nix Comics Quarterly for $10, free ship in the US, let me know.

I'd appreciate shares on this. They're good comics, but not doing anyone any good sitting in boxes in my office.

Email: ken at nixcomics dot com to work out the specifics.

Going to wrap up my back issue sale soon! If you like rock 'n roll Comics and Zines, check it out!

A photo I took eight years ago to share on Facebook. "Buck Slaughter's Book of Rock 'n Roll Facts" was the 1st comic I drew all by my lonesome. I think I excelled at record covers and not so much with the Peter Bagge/John Holmstrom inspired characters.

Issues available for $2 each nix2024.com/

For those of you with kids, who want to put them on the track to comics, records, wrestling and other possibly satanic... er... fun hobbies: Nix Comics for Kids is on sale for 60% off cover! (Which comes to less than $10 for all three issues with shipping)

My health junk has kept me from the work I wanted to complete before CXC and the WFMU record fair... but I've been working on sketchbook picture sleeves and should have 3 Nix Singles ready.

Flashback Frida.... er.... Saturday.

To when the back room of What The Rock!? was the Nix Comics HQ and I could do my own little art shows. This one featured Eric Blair's work!

Good stuff!

Wasn't sure until today that I would get this done in time... But I did! I'll be premiering Nix Single #2 at SPACE this weekend! It's an abbreviated version of Tales from the Crate and I'll have a limited number available with records and original art!

Come to SPACE for dibs!
Saturday, June 10-11
10AM to 6 PM Saturday
10AM to 5 PM Sunday
Rhodes Center at the Ohio Expo Center and State Fair
Free Admission!
Parking is presently $5.00 a day with no in & out privileges.

Scribbly morning cartoon: an ode to working at home. And to Barrence Whitfield, who as far as I can tell has never released a bad record.

Lunch time cartoon doodle.
Announcement for anyone who can decipher my crappy lettering

Today this unruly pile of stuff gets mooshed together into Nix Single #2.

Hey! Not to be too pointed, but here's who I'd like to see come to SPACE this year:
1) All of my left leaning friends who bemoan corporate America but then have lengthy discussions about X-men or Marvel movies. I mean... Come on.
1/2

Something new! Nix Singles will be a series of short zines that fold out into an 11x17 poster! The format is inspired by the old Scottish Fleshtones Zine "Watch This!" Fittingly, the first issue is all about how the Fleshtones have inspired me!

Small enough enough and cheap enough that I can ship them using regular ol' envelopes and stamps! (Including an airmail).

Thanks to Lone Crow Printing for printing up these mock up trade paper backs! Convenient for showing all of youse mugs what I'm going for and giving me something to edit from!
