The headlines I'm seeing are deeply concerning. I'm afraid this is going to become sadly normal as things go on.
In the middle 500s a series of Volcanic eruptions created a climate change disruption in Scandinavia and may have inspired the legends of Fimbulwinter proceeding Ragnarok.
Archeology has found many abandoned and depopulated villages from that time. I wonder if we are living in a similar era.
How often can we rebuild a city until we choose not to?

I think that we live in a time of great change. The ruins of great cities of the past stand in silent testimony to the impermanence of the best efforts of man, and for all of our technological innovations we are no different in our time.
Every choice has a cost. The actions mankind has collectively taken has altered the world and we cannot escape the consequences for those past decisions, only live with them, and hopefully abate some with better choices now.
There is nothing new under the sun! What was has been before.
Man’s behavior has been consistent - particularly as it relates to his impact on civilizations and nature. As time moves forward, we see that his impact on society is increasing with frequency & intensity. Will he learn from past mistakes to invent and produce a better way of life?
The consequences reverberate throughout the generations and many forget lessons learned due to selfishness!

Interesting historical information!
Cities have been destroyed & rebuilt since the beyond time . We can only rebuild if the heart & finances are available.
I agree that the headlines will occur with greater frequency and matters will get worse.
What do you think?
