The Acolyte controversy is pretty heavy. It's more entertaining than the Acolyte itself.

Rather than listen to the critiques the show owners are doubling down or attacking the fans that have an opinion on their work, or dismissing it outright as sexist/racist/bigoted.

And then they cry that the world is cruel and critics suck... but that's not new? Are they new to show-buisness? πŸ€”

@White_Rabbit It's become quite clear to me that Disney Star Wars is just not for me, so I'm sticking with Legends.

This is something that happened to me with Star Trek as well. It's the nature of things to change, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, but change is.

This is part of getting older, and the 5 remembrances on my path. "Everything I know and love is of the nature to change. I cannot help being parted from them"

@White_Rabbit If this new direction for Star Wars and Star Trek runs their franchises into the ground, it's possible they will change again and become more inclusive to the fans and those story lines.

It could also mean that they fall silent for generations only to be reimagined again.

I think of all the Radio Dramas and comics of the 20's through the 50's that were smash hits that most wouldn't recognize now.
