My apple care on my phone expired, I derped. An email I got that I thought was phishing, was actually a legit email warning me it was going to happen.
Today I got notice it was cancelled, so I reached out to support. Turns out there is nothing they can do, cancelled is cancelled for good.
The support people were nice and helpful, but I heard the man brace himself when he told me there was nothing that could be done.
Instead I thanked him. It’s a sadness to me they’ve learned to fear
I made certain to keep my voice soft, and said “I am disappointed nothing can be done, but accept that. It’s not your fault, and I appreciate your kindness in trying to help me. There is no reason to get upset when the fault is mine. This is just something that is.”
He seemed genuinely shocked, but yelling at him or making his day bad would not fix it. He was only trying to help me.
“Be kind to whomever you meet, for all are fighting some hidden struggle of which you know nothing about.”
