As I was doing my reading before bed, I came across these lines from Martin Luther King and they resonated deeply within me

Seeing the whole of a person, beyond their actions, does not excuse their action, but it empowers us to respond with compassion. The most vile are in need of the greatest healing

Hatred does nothing but damn them, and ourselves

This is a good lesson for me. I’ve seen so much evil in the world, but responding with hate wont fix it.
