A big ol' hug to everyone who's going to be holding their breath a lot in the next few days.
I mean, more than usual, for this last nightmare of a few weeks.
We're going to be caught fast for the next few days in a news cycle of events we cannot control - but our bodies aren't going to know that. It's not going to be easy to manage the stress on 24/7 media-driven tenterhooks.
Take breaks.
Be with people.
Have grace with others, & forgive what they say while coping.
Be kind to yourselves, too.
@MLClark A friend messaged me to today, and they said, “ Can I be mad? Because I know it’s wrong to be angry.”
I replied to her that anger wasn’t a bad thing, it was just a thing, but her choices would define it, not the thing itself.
It’s ok to take breaks, it’s ok to guard your own heart, it’s ok to say, this is hurting me, I need to stop.
That’s showing love not just to yourself, but others too.
