They're the best. I still use my Dad's :)
Pro tip: take out the blade after each use and rinse clean, blow dry with breath. Makes the blades last a very long time.

I treat my kitchen knives the same way. They're high carbon steel, not stainless, and will rust, but with a rinse and a wipe they will take and hold a fearsome edge :)
