Thread Three...

Apparently there was also supposed to be a "massive" cyber attack on Israel while this was going on.

This might explain the Internet in northern Israel being slightly slow sometime during the Israeli afternoon.

That didn't last long and I'm not sure why they wasted the effort if they really tried.

You cannot tackle an elephant.

Mortar fire from inside of Lebanon.

IDF artillery responding.

@Render Oh no. That's not good.

I really hope the IDF is prepared to handle full-scale conflict with both Hamas and Hezbollah at the same time, because it seems plausible that could be necessary now.

IDF's manpower and equipment advantages would still be very significant AFAIK, but fighting on two fronts simultaneously is never good... and can put serious strain on C&C/leadership capabilities. Which, given the circumstances, could be a significant problem.

@IrelandTorin @Render Israel has always been surrounded by enemies. They will be fine. Pity the terrorists. No one has ever won a war with Israel since the very beginning when the new "gerrymandered" country was completely surrounded and "out gunned." I see nothing to convince me that will change. Motorcycles and pickup trucks are suitable for attacking civilians and police stations. They are not military grade. As for those who took prisoners... I remember Entebbe. The cowards are already dead.
