I haven't eaten at McDonald's in over 3 yrs. I'm old enough to remember when the signs said "Over 1 million sold!" It used to be a rare treat, until I started working in a building with a McD downstairs. I was there at least once a day. I felt so much better when I stopped, and saved a ton of $$. But somehow, I want a Grimace Birthday meal. I know it will end badly, but I do. Talk me down please!

@Senua May you realize as I did nearly two decades ago that memories taste better than the real deal does now. (I had some Micky D fries for much the same reason as you now contemplate. Let's just say I've never repeated the experience.) Cheers!

@NihilVidere it's funny that the best meal I ever had was a drive thru McD's years ago, after a day from hell that involved a series of bus mishaps, a super-sketch cab driver, and my dad driving 50 miles to pick me up at a closed bus station. He asked what I wanted, I said "food, alcohol, cigarettes, not necessarily in that order." We went to a McDs that was almost closed for the night, so it was all fresh and the only thing I'd eaten all day. This would be a work lunch, and it could get bad.
