Concerning this whole gas stove thing that's all the rage ATM. The average human produces about 500 liters of CO2/day or 1kg by weight. Ovens are more complicated but produce about 225 g/30 minutes at "normal" baking temperature. So 2 hours baking is the same as a human breathing for 1 day. Do a search for largest daily contributors. Humans and stoves don't even rate as contributors. DON'T BE DISTRACTED BY BS.

@NihilVidere I thought the discussion was about potential harm to those in the residence where it’s being used vs climate impact?

I have gas cook top—and I have to plans to give it up. We have good industrial hood over top…

@Thumprhare I've seen it both ways. The health risk has always been there since my grand parents' youth. It is from CO though, and a properly maintained stove and CO detector (they are free at the fire station) mitigate that risk. I can't even remember the last time I ready about a stove killing someone by CO though. It's usually the furnace that runs all the time. YMMV

@NihilVidere I love cooking with gas…I can’t imagine going back to a regular electric. Guess I am too impatient now…lol
