Science friends, I need your help. My son is stuck on a chemistry lab report and I don't know the answer:

My HS son did a lab to compare the effectiveness of 2 different antacids. He is being asked how the production of more bubbles (CO2) from one means that it is more effective than the other. Do the bubbles help neutralize acids?

Oh I hope one of you can shed some light on this. Thanks.

@nbourre Hi. I'll help. The CO2 is a bi-product of the acid neutralization. The more produced, the more acid neutralized. Extra credit if he gives the actual neutralization formula in his paper. Good luck!
