@ExecutiveFunction404 Clubs...egad! Some things I miss about the old days. Clubs are not one of them, lol. Local bars; yes.
@ExecutiveFunction404 Once I semi sobered up I realized I could not dance. On a stage or set I could make it work, lol. But I danced like an old, white guy even when I was in my 30's, lol. Even if I were single, no more clubs. Great workout, yes. But I do the treadmill and read stuff. And I forget to drink....
In my opinion, anyone who is feeling the music in their soul is unable to be a bad dancer. I know it doesn't help the awkward feeling, but I'm sure you weren't as bad as you thought 😊
If you're going out to drink and converse, bars are def the way to go. Drinks are too expensive at clubs.
For me, it's the music; it's my lifeblood. The one thing that gives me enough dopamine to accomplish anything, not even my adhd meds work as well 😂
@Nick_Searles
Hahaha & I'm the polar opposite. I've enjoyed bars, but I don't like drinking or being constantly hit on. What I love is feeling the bass coursing through my body as I let loose on the dancefloor for 8+ hours. That was my exercise for most of my life, dancing at clubs/raves/festivals. Great dopamine fix too 😉 (regular exercise is terribly boring for me)
I'd still go monthly or so, but stopped bc of covid. Too many sweaty, heavily breathing bodies too close for comfort lol.
