Not surprised, never liked him, something off putting about him way back ('70s).
Great guitarist, never a great person.

@Krysdammit Past 20 years or so it's been one stupid thing after another. he has said worse, but this goes below my IQ allowances.

@Nick_Searles
Maybe he has the same problem some of us older ppl have? After being polite & minding our p & qs 😳 all of our lives, as it's nearing it's end, we decide to let the πŸ’© freely? I've noticed this as I age. He's at least a decade older than I am, he's really letting it go!πŸ˜‚

@Nick_Searles
You're right of course. πŸ˜‚
I'm older-ish and have never said any of the πŸ’© that these weirdos have. I don't think it to myself either.😝

@Krysdammit I am Medicare years old. I did/said dumb crap younger. But as his/our age, he is showing what he really is.
"Maturing" didn't happen with him. Just a-holing.

@Nick_Searles
While it was socially acceptable to say certain things back in the 60s and 70s, still I have never said those things even back then because it was vile.
Don't think that's going to change even if dementia sets in.
Or at least I hope not. If it was never in you, it can't come back out.😳 I hope. πŸ™

@Krysdammit Oh, I learned very young. Parents would have none of it. Kids are kids. But then we went home. That fixed things.

@Nick_Searles
They say that children learn behaviour in the home. This is true for the earliest years.
After they begin playing with other kids, unless the parents are right there monitoring every word or action, they begin to learn from others. The wider their social circle, the more influences there are.
School is where they really learn obnoxious behaviour and attitudes.

@Krysdammit Well, I didn't learn to smoke weed home, lol. And a few other naughties.

@Nick_Searles
Sames! Didn't learn to smoke :420: weed from my parents either....amongst other naughty things I learned outside of my home.πŸ˜‰
Naughty, but fun.😜

@Krysdammit Considering I went to a Catholic school. the fun stuff was even better.

@Nick_Searles
I'm a good recovering-from-Catholicism girl myself.πŸ˜‰ :420: πŸ₯ƒ 🍷 🍾 πŸ•Ί πŸš— πŸ’¨

@Krysdammit Gave it up for Lent years ago. Worked out just fine.

@Nick_Searles
We still do a big xmas & easter get together with fam, the way parents used to do. Now it's strictly a cultural & social gathering.

@Krysdammit Yes. Only church anything is the funeral. And they are also going away. We don't need religion to do the right thing. And these Evangelicals prove that out loud.

@Nick_Searles
I only attend if it's someone really close to my fam. Parents' friends are in the late 80s and 90s now.

@Krysdammit Even my mom and dad wanted nothing to do with any of that. Both cremated. Not worth the cash.
I do have a very good friend from HS and he runs an Episcopel church. That is a good religion. More should be like them.

@Nick_Searles
My mom passed away 44 years ago, dad had the huge Mass, he belonged to the choir so there was a fell choir, organ and a violins.
Dad remarried years later, stepmother had him buried beside my mom, & she moved to Chigaco. One of her stepchildren she raised lives there.
Dad had a huge one and of course the full choir & orchestra, organ.
They were huge. Like a full Sunday Mass, people were standing in the aisles.
I can't contemplate anything like that for myself.

@Krysdammit Nice send off. But today, no thanks. My friend's dad is having a funeral on Wednesday. But he has a famous deli in Hoboken, so the crowd for this will be ginormous. We'll be at the wake, but no to the funeral. Plus, zero parking.

@Nick_Searles
I told my kids they may do as they see fit. The smaller and most cost effective the better.
Culturally speaking, it's a big thing to my people, but younger generations are breaking away from tradition. My siblings & I keep the parent's plot tended. Decorate for All Soul's Day. All the big days. While we were doing the spring planting this year we ran into one of mom's best friends. She's well into her '90s now. Had a lovely chat.
