Can I ask why there's almost NO deep coverage or outrage over the WHO literally putting Medicago out of business?
They developed a FAR more effective vaccine, but because it's derived from tobacco (I was SCREAMING into the bird place for people to pay attention to that Vax, in the summer of 20) it's unacceptable?
How much did Pfizer pay for this to happen?
@ArcturusSaDiablo it was a vaccine that is FAR more effective than Pfizer's. I don't care if it's made from roadkill and koala feces.
@ArcturusSaDiablo oh, and BTW... Morris divested all of its shares in Medicago last winter. The WHO said they could reapply then... And then decided to deny because it's derived from tobacco plants... Morris has NO ownership in Medicago, but it is a convenient excuse for Pfizer to continue their attempt to massively inflate the price of THEIR Covid vax.
@NapsAndSarcasm
So I did a little poking around on this. Found that the WHO denied because of ties (read significant ownership) from Phillip Morris. This same company that was at the forefront of investigations into tobacco companies lying about and over time increasing the amount of nicotine in cigarettes. There's a trust issue here, and the WHO said their part of it was not okay.
I for one want to see more natural alternatives to the medical industry. But Big Tobacco can't be trusted.
