As Lecrae trends for speaking out against spiritual abuse and wounds, it would be a good moment for CEO Randy Odom and KAA to re-evaluate their connection to Joe White and Kanakuk. This article describes what happened: /9

Also, casual attitudes toward nudity and toxic purity teachings at #Kanakuk provided fertile ground for a predators who used nudity and discussions about sexuality to groom victims. /11 https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/local/ozarks/2022/05/26/camp-kanakuk-nudity-culture-hid-abuse-grooming-pete-newman-branson/9654342002/
Joe White, founder of KAA, overlooked a decade of nude activities with kids that resulted in an estimated hundreds of children being abused. These 'church wounds' matter, as you, Lecrae, boldly point out. Let's pay attention to victims' stories. /12 https://thedispatch.com/newsletter/frenchpress/they-arent-who-you-think-they-are/
@NancyFrench Creepy “Christians”; what is new?
@NancyFrench Just horrible. Thank you for reporting an important story. What amazes me is that even if they don't care about the victim (and it sure ses that they don't) the camp operators don't seem to recognize how pushing abuse under the rug will blow up on themselves!
But this is not 'old news.' Please read, Lecrae, how a female abuse victim was treated in 2016. #Kanakuk did not even allow her to call her parents after she was molested and forced her to spend time with her abuser. /10 https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/local/ozarks/2022/05/26/kanakuk-kamps-camper-reported-sexual-assault-denied-call-home-leave/9827342002/
