When they passed laws in the past penalizing those who hired the undocumented, a reporter in Washington state went to the unemployment office with buses ready to transport workers to the fields. No one accepted NO ONE! The strawberries rotted in the fields because the undocumented migratory workers were afraid to go

I lived in Hoover, AL then it was also not thought kindly by the construction industry. The police were also told they were to arrest the undocumented when they called for help basically they were not to call 911. there were home invasions in homes of people they knew couldn’t get bank accounts. I managed apartments, & had a man robbed & murdered walking to his door

Americans obviously won't do that kind of hard labor for lousy wages. Pay them a fair wage and workers will flock to the fields. But then, many Americans could no longer afford to eat. We can have one or the other but short sighted Republicans want both
