I have a story, i think its important: Ill always think of this one carstop where i pulled this car over for having all around limo tinted windows (not allowed in maryland). Im immediately on edge because i cant see into the car so it's more dangerous as i approach, and the driver, a young black woman, rolls down the window and asks if i pulled her over because i thought she was a black man. And i was immediately angry because i was thinking like, "lady i pulled 1/
you over because i couldn't see into the car at all, i had no idea your race or anything" but of course from her perspective im just another white cop pulling someone over in the hood and inconveniencing her. There's no real moral to that story, its just a good reminder of how police work is so often a confluence of everyone involved being very high strung about everything for legitimate reasons, and how important it is to take your feelings and yourego out of the equation, especially as the cop
@netbacker you know... I'm honestly not sure. i either gave her a warning or a repair order, but I can't for the life of me recall. I'll have to look through my old bodycam footage and find out.
