Good morning, all! I have been quiet here as my focus has been on activism on Twitter this week, with a primary goal of getting to call Congress in support of the bipartisan act to protect Mueller. Who knows if anyone actually made one call as a result, but I tried to make a lot of noise about it.

Then there was last night. 🧙‍♀️

The magickal concept of a binding spell is to prevent the target from doing harm. A classic example of the was a group of British witches during WWII who cast a binding spell on Hitler, to try to keep him from invading England.

Our focus was to protect Mueller and allow the investigation to be completed.

@Myrth Ah, ty. I've seen bind used as protection and as anchor. Always thought was a weird application. Appreciate the clarification.

Binding does protect. In binding the target from doing harm, you are protecting from harm also.

There are also a myriad of beliefs amongst witches. Some are religious, observant Wiccans. Some witches are more general pagans and worship various pantheons. Some witches are pantheists or panentheists. Some are atheists. Some are Christian.

These different beliefs also affect magickal practices. I cannot speak for all witches, just myself and others who share similar practices.
