🌌 Northern lights coming?
A G3 geomagnetic storm is forecast by the Space Weather Prediction Center. That could bring the northern lights to the mid-latitudes, including over the Northern Tier of the United States and across much of Canada. MyRadar meteorologist Matthew Cappucci has an update.

The 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season ends today. There were 20 named storms, 7 hurricanes and 3 major Hurricanes (Category 3 or above). Only one hurricane made landfall in the U.S.

Severe storms in Texas on Thursday
A level 3 out of 5 slight risk of severe weather has been drawn for southeast Texas on Thursday. It includes areas northwest of Houston. The city is in a level 2 out of 5 slight risk. Damaging winds and a few tornadoes are probable with the strongest storms.
