I love the younger generations' pushback against the competition of who works longer hours, as if giving up all your free time is somehow a status of character of which to be proud. 40 hour weeks. That should be the maximum anyone is forced to work and still bring home a salary capable of supplying every need of shelter, food, healthcare, transportation, and education for oneself and one's family.

You want to work more hours? Go for it. Do your thing.

But no one should be forced to extra work hours that takes them away from their families and their recuperation/down time just to satisfy the greed of a corporate entity.

Trust me, every child remembers the games you missed, the recitals you missed, the parties you missed, the vacations you worked through, and the other milestones where you were absent, either mentally or physically.

Gen Z.. they are not lazy. They are smart, savvy, and are making their own rules.
