Disney should really consider making that. They need all the help they can get since they now have to kowtow to DeSantis.

@DMArt55555 how so? I mean, desantis basically got 1 person on a board when he "came for them". He pathetically failed and gave in to everything they already had

@MrMalignance I wrongly assumed that β€œThe Mighty Disney” could basically do anything it wanted in FLA.

They did the right thing by defying the don’t-say-gay nonsense.

I’m surprised ANY politician would dare stand up to the state’s gigantic source of income.

@DMArt55555 they still can. Everything and anything that desantis wants to do will eventually get shot down, when the official politicians kick in, and explain in small words to desantis, that he can't do what he's trying to do. All of this is for show, to get points going after "woke" companies

@MrMalignance That could be true…a little demonstration to get more of trumps base over to his side.

I don’t know…Disney has been such a big part of Florida for so long that I figured they had enormous sway in the state’s government.

They just seemed to roll over and submit just because they hurt the governor’s feelings. With all their money, it’s seems Disney could kick his ass out of office easily.

@DMArt55555 they could, but they're like the a large elephant, that's being attacked by a small cat. They know they could squish the trouble, but why? They have time, money, and influence. They've already shown that the law will be on their side at the end of the day. Plus by doing nothing, it preserves their ability to retain customers. The choice to do nothing is a strategy
