Truly, I get that having your house blow up, or being poisoned by more-or-less toxic gas, is *bad*, but, you know, if you need to brown your sauted veggies, or boil water in a hurry... electric just ain't gonna get it done.
@TheKarlWLewis Proper ventilation should solve any explosive issues.
@MrGoat That, and, you know, keeping the valves closed and not having leaks in the piping.
It's not as if we don't live with risks, every day, anyway. Lots of people drive in *cars*. And put *gasoline* in 'em. People smoke cigarettes. We all make our choices.
@TheKarlWLewis Yup. It's wild. I honestly wish I could knock some sense into the majority.
@MrGoat @TheKarlWLewis Things we don’t have any more because “dangerous”: monkeybars, the merry-go-rounds at playgrounds, cars without seatbelts, recess when temps fall below 32 degrees.
Things we do have: automatic rifles, six year olds with guns, removing shoes at airports.
Just a few things I can think of. Admittedly, we need seat belts and I suppose those other things, but what ever happened to common sense?
@GrandmaJ Common Sense is lacking in today's world.
@GrandmaJ How many times every day do people wait until I'm almost passing them to pull out in front of me going the same way so I have to slam on my brakes to not rear-end them. Countless. I have sped up around them stopped and got out and explained why the fuck we stopped in the middle of the road several times. @TheKarlWLewis
@GrandmaJ @TheKarlWLewis I usually end with Have some fucking common courtesy.
@MrGoat @TheKarlWLewis Be careful!
I need to sign up - I'm taking their money and posting positives about gas stoves.
