@MrGoat It makes so much more sense to take a train instead of putting a plane in the air. Plus, i honestly don't understand why people wouldn't prefer the train anyways. Train travel is so much fun. 😊
@ChillySnowgirl Planes are pretty fast but for local travel not needed.
@MrGoat If people planned ahead better, the speedy plane would not be needed though! 🙂 Plus it does mention that these are high speed trains, so maybe there isn't much difference. Still reading article.
@MrGoat So these are destinations reached in less than 2 and a half hours. That's a comfortable amount of time on a train. :)
Also says that if they could get the train schedule in line with flights that they'd take out other flights too, which is also a good thing, especially since some trains can operate on electricity (don't know if it applies to these ones but i know they exist). :)
@ChillySnowgirl Yea it's a good thing for sure. It seems like it makes sense to do this cost wise and environment wise.
@MrGoat I once saw an episode of (was it "Mighty Trains"? 🤷♀️ ) and there was a train that went partly up a mountainside BACKWARDS. The scenery along that route looked gorgeous, but it looked like a sketch route in certain parts! 👀
