Really, with Monday approaching and all the anxiety and sickness over that, I should really be feeling less rejected by the other Hindu moms (and there are a lot) in my daughterās classā¦ but here I am in my feelings over it. I get that Iām married into it and thatās different. But our kids love each other and want to hang out.
I mean, speaking with a healthy amount of bias, I am a fucking delight.
@Lulz4l1f3 honestly, I know that it is. And itās probably more of all parties involved trying to figure out what we could possibly have to say to each other or what wonāt sound weird or what we wonāt be judged for saying or doing.
Add to that that just connecting with other parents in general is very rare these daysā¦ out of the entire class being invited to this boys party, two of his classmates showed up.

It's weird how whatever we happen to be thinking... it's almost like we think others can read our minds or project our expectations on them...
while they are probably doing the same thing.
I wish I had figured that out decades earlier than I did.
