2 COVID patients today. And their visitors will be the reason there will be two new ones by Saturday. Ffs. 🤦🏻♀️ #healthcareworkers #rant
@KazzyH I transferred in October from the main hospital to one of the regionals closer to home. My last unit was Leukemia and that entire unit/floor is still 100% staff masking to this day. When I transferred it was a rude awakening. In the medical oncology unit I work in now, it’s just me. And I am not a bedside clinician. I have been referred to as, “the only white girl still wearing a mask.” (I’d prefer woman, but you get the gist.)

Yep, there is def less mask wearing in the medical field. I had my eye appt today and was the only person in the office wearing a mask. To their credit, the optometrist and his assistant offered to put one on after seeing me.

My neurologist wears his faithfully as does his staff... I was very happy with that!
@JulesofJoy @anniecoughlin @MotherDucker
Jules I'm glad they do too!

Last time I was in the treatment room at my hospital ( April ) I was horrified to see so many maskless patients & caregivers in the cancer care & blood disorders center. 🥺 Only one nurse and me 🤷♀️ wth.
I go to my personal stand alone pcp to get my blood draws & refuse go near the hospital for it. He and his staff are all masked, have highly efficient filtration system.
