Here’s some news to support my conspiracy theory that big #dental corporations are pulling some shady shit.
Second visit to my new dental provider for prophylactic cleaning and exam. I explained to the hygienist that my last dental office said I needed a deep cleaning before the dentist could tend to a few cavities (They claimed there were 3). And that deep cleaning was over $650 out of pocket with my #insurance.
And she filled it during the same freaking appointment! Unheard of in my last 6+ years of dental encounters.
@MotherDucker I had a similar experience with a dentist. He claimed I needed deep cleaning, then spent 15 minutes cleaning with a bill close to a $1000.
Hygienist says, something to the effect of, “are you kidding me? Despite being crooked your gums and teeth are pretty healthy, as long as you keep up with two annual cleanings.” Dentist comes in. She says “I’m only seeing just one cavity.”
