This is the nicest weather weekend we've had this year, and it smells like everyone's making a campfire tonight. I'm inside the house, but it smells like I'm fireside roasting a perfectly bronzed marshmallow. (Not to brag or anything, but I'm very good at not burning them. See 5 below.👍 ) On the one hand, it's a peaceful, comforting smell; on the other hand, I'm coughing. Windows closed, I think. 🤷

😂 So true. I used to be an 8, but now I'm more of a slow-roasted 5-6. 9-10 if for people who like a little 🔥!
@LiseL I get it. A perfectly roasted marshmallow is an art form. One I have zero patience for. Plus it remains entertaining to blow out that little fireball that burns so beautifully.

@LiseL the thought of it is getting me all jazzed. We recently bought a little fire bowl for the backyard and some camp chairs to do some bonfires in the backyard this fall. Can’t wait to see where the 6yo falls on the Marshmallow doneness chart. 🤭 She’ll probably be the straight from the bag into the mouth sort… or setting them ablaze for the novelty but never eating them.
In my experience, kids either want them straight out of the bag, or they want to play with fire and burn them. Or they burn a few and ask me to spend 5 minutes roasting a 6 for them. 😂
