It hurts my feelings that I have to send my kid with a fully disposable packed lunch tomorrow. Even the water bottle. I get that they don’t want to have to worry about angry parents if a kid leaves their water bottle on the field trip. But I’ve tried extra hard not to let my kid guzzle additional microplastics.

Wouldn’t it be a better learning experience if they carried their reusable water bottles? Like you need to stay hydrated on a walk, and on a nature trail no less. Also personal responsibility!
