@MotherDucker A friend whose husband just died, struggling with finances . . . trying to integrate a couple of feline refugees into the household, with out completely alienating another feline refugee (with considerable seniority) . . . the poles melting like softserve on the asphalt of parking lot in Phoenix . . . I'll stop there.😏

That my daughter and sil are driving back home from Louder than Life instead of flying because she got sick.

@BenA I had a root canal on Thursday. Solidarity! Dental procedures are horrifying always.
This is *supposed* to be just a routine cleaning, but every time they start poking around in there, they find something new (and expensive) to fix.
@BenA @MotherDucker Because Dentistry in the USA is the new wild wild west. And you thought the car dealers were screwing you with Ziebart!
A project that I am taking over because the person that was supposed to do it just.....didn't.

@JustinTX I worry about this too. Especially considering all 3 of us had it last year. My husband had it mild. My daughter vomited for days. When I finally got it (after they were both feeling mostly back to normal) but I lost my sense of smell for months and developed spontaneous hives, triggered by the viral infection. When I could finally smell again things didn’t smell right. A year later yogurt and sour cream are the only things that still smell wrong.
@MotherDucker I just woke up and I’m sitting in the dark because my cat is between me and the light and I don’t want to disturb him. Wishing it was lighter in my room.
