Friends, this has been the saddest #Christmas in my living memory. I worked Christmas last year and it was bad...but not sad. Numerous times today I've tried to forget it was Christmas. So many people feeling hopeless and alone and abandoned (#healthcareworkers) trying to help other people who also feel hopeless and alone and sick AF (#bloodcancer patients)... We don't have enough people to clean rooms, we don't have enough staff to feel supported or spend time giving support to patients. 💔
@dratino 💛 thank you. At the end of the day, the only thing keeping me there are the patients. We remember those we lose and become life long friends of those who survive. I middle-named my daughter after a miracle woman, Irene.
@MotherDucker I am so sorry for health care workers! I've lost at least 3 loved ones to cancer. You're all truly Heroes in my opinion!
