@MotherDucker The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. I started it in earnest but it quickly devolved into a hate read. So bad.
@MotherDucker After I got a few chapters in, I decided to check some of the less glowing reviews to confirm my doubts about this book. One review nailed it by describing the story as “cheap, vanilla candle-scented, wine-mom porn.” I know everyone has different tastes and all but it is a poorly written book.
